# Scorecard templates

# Scorecard Templates

A scorecard is a qualification framework — a set of attributes that define what "qualified" means for your organisation (BANT, MEDDIC, or a custom framework you design). Templates let you define those attributes once and apply them consistently across every event.

Scorecards are judged entirely by [Rev](/rev-ai/index), BoothRev's AI. Reps never fill one in.

***

## Why scorecards matter

Without a scorecard, qualification is judged only by Rev's general priority and ICP-fit signals. A scorecard gives Rev a structured, org-specific rubric — the same qualification criteria applied consistently across every rep and every event, with no manual data entry required at the booth.

***

## What goes in a scorecard

Each attribute has three parts:

* **Key** — a short internal identifier
* **Label** — the display name (e.g. "Budget confirmed", "Decision timeline")
* **Description** — the actual judging criterion. This is what Rev reads to decide whether the attribute is met.

There are no field types, options, or rep-fillable inputs — a scorecard attribute is a description Rev evaluates against a lead's notes, voice transcripts, and OCR captures. Every attribute's key must be non-empty and unique within a template.

***

## How Rev assesses a scorecard

Rev judges every attribute automatically — Met, Partial, or Not Met, with a supporting evidence quote — and computes an overall 0–100 scorecard score. This is entirely automatic and read-only; there's no rep or event owner UI to override a value. For the full mechanics, see [What Rev does → How Rev assesses a scorecard](/rev-ai/what-rev-does#how-rev-assesses-a-scorecard).

## Creating a scorecard template

1. Go to **Scorecard Templates** in the left sidebar.
2. Click **+ New Template**.
3. Give the template a name (e.g., "Standard B2B Qualification" or "Enterprise Events Q3").
4. Add attributes one by one — key, label, and description for each.
5. Save the template.

Every tenant is seeded with three default frameworks out of the box: **BANT**, **MEDDIC**, and **Strategic Account Signal Intelligence** — a framework built for Key Account-heavy events, judging account relevance, signal significance, evidence strength, actionability, and relationship movement rather than a traditional deal-qualification checklist. All three are judged by Rev exactly the same way; the difference is only which attributes they define. You can use any of the three as-is or build a custom template.

The template is now available for any event owner to apply to their event.

***

## Applying a template to an event

Event owners choose a template in Event Settings → Scorecard when setting up their event. Applying a template copies its attribute schema onto the event as a snapshot at that moment — later changes to the source template never retroactively affect an event that already applied it.

If an event owner hasn't applied a scorecard, the event still runs normally, but leads won't get scorecard-based qualification — the dashboard falls back to priority-based qualification for that event instead.

***

## Updating a template

**Templates are immutable once created.** There is no edit or delete option — this keeps historical scorecard data comparable across events that used the same framework.

If your qualification criteria need to change, use **Duplicate to edit** from the Scorecard Templates page: this creates a new, independent copy you can modify and apply to future events. Events already using the original template are unaffected.
